Dr. Ahmed Elakrat has been graduated from the medical school in Egypt, with an Honours degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1992. He continued his residency at the Ophthalmology department, Benha University Hospital, where he completed his Master of Ophthalmology degree with Honours Distinction in 2000. Dr. Elakrat completed his clinical fellowship in refractive surgery at the Instituto Oftalmologico De Alicante in Alicante, Spain in 2004. He has successfully completed the International Optometric Bridging Program followed by writing the Canadian Board Exam in Optometry to be fully licensed to practice as an Optometrist on June 2010. Dr. Elakrat has practiced in both Mississauga and Brampton since 2010 and is board certified in Egypt, Kuwait and Ontario, Canada and has a special interest and passion for children’s eye health and is in service in paediatric optometry more than 5 years. He welcomes infants, toddlers and children to his practice and looks forward to serving families in the Mississauga and surrounding community!
